May 20th Kidical MassAbout this event
We’ll be taking a lovely tree-lined ride from Lincoln Park down E Capitol St towards the Capitol. Then we’ll explore the new protected bike lanes on Pennsylvania Ave SE and circle back to Capital Candy Jar for the Maury Elementary ice cream fundraiser (we promise to go elsewhere in June). We’ll have volunteers marshaling to ensure we stay together as a group. MPD bike team will also be participating in the ride to connect officers with the community.
If your family’s bikes need some TLC, please come 30 minutes early to get some assistance–we will have bike maintenance tools available, as well as some experienced amateur bike mechanics on hand to assist.

Food Drive for Capital Area Food Bank
We’re partnering with Ward 6 Democrats on a food drive for Capital Area Food Bank for all our summer rides. Summer is the season when their donations are traditionally the lowest and demand to still just as high. Please bring non-perishable food items as outlined in the image below.
Bonus, we’ll be biking what we collect to the food back just off the MBT!
