September 27th Kidical Mass - Kingman Island Family Day Ride
Hill Family Biking is headed to Kingman Island for Friends & Family Day in partnership with DOEE. Bring your own picnic for a fun-filled day
New this year: Hill Family Biking is partnering with the DC Department of Energy & Environment for the 6th annual Kingman Island Friends & Family Day. We’ll begin the day at Stanton Park at 10:30am for a classic Hill Family Biking group ride to Kingman Island to kickoff the event with live music. Food for lunch and Maracas Ice Pops will be available for purchase and you’re encouraged to bring your own picnic.
Activities like nature crafting, fishing, boating, yoga and more will be available on the island until 3pm.
We’ll have volunteers marshaling to ensure we stay together as a group. MPD bike team will also be participating in the ride to connect officers with the community.
If your family’s bikes need some TLC, please come 15 minutes early to get some assistance–we will have bike maintenance tools available, as well as some experienced amateur bike mechanics on hand to assist.
Thanks to our ride sponsor: The Joel Nelson Group
