September 30th Kidical Mass

Family bike ride through exploring the Navy Yard, SW, the FD Memorial Bridge and the NEW M St SE bike lane! Come join us!!

Did you love our June ride over the Frederick Douglass Bridge? Did you miss it? Either way you’re in luck because our September ride will be very similar except this time we’ll be including the NEW M St SE bike lanes! Starting at Garfield Park, we’ll wind our way through Navy Yard, roll past Audi Field and check out the majestic, new Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge including the East Bank underpass. Then we’ll circle back past Nats Field, ride a block of the new M St SE two-way protected bike lanes and end at Ice Cream Jubilee at Yards Park for some ice cream!!

About this event

We’ll have volunteers marshaling to ensure we stay together as a group. MPD bike team will also be participating in the ride to connect officers with the community.

If your family’s bikes need some TLC, please come 15 minutes early to get some assistance–we will have bike maintenance tools available, as well as some experienced amateur bike mechanics on hand to assist.

  • Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Riders will not ride ahead of the lead bike
  • Riders must follow instructions given by any ride marshal
